GREECE

Arrived in Athens Tuesday AM, jetlag was not too bad. We ate and did a few errands, then made our way to Naxos Wednesday AM, where we caught a 4 hour (not warm) ferry to our little island.
The island has been very peaceful and was well worth the journey. It's extremely quiet here and there are very few people. The weather is nice - gets to around 70 during the day, so being at the beach has been perfect. The water is a little chilly, but extremely clean and refreshing; its warm at the top so floating is the right choice. The water and the island itself are so beautiful. There's a bakery, two tiny markets, and only a few restaurants are open at this time of year. The only animals we’ve seen are cats, goats, chickens, and a few tiny lizards. The walking and hiking have been great, and everyone basically walks everywhere, although there are a few cars and a few scooters. Some of the paths are a little rocky, and there are steep inclines on both the roads and the trails, providing a decent workout.
Enjoying cheese, tomatoes, wine, and fresh veggies. Found some gluten free pasta that we will make tonight. Not Southeast Asia prices, but overall food is not too expensive. And the meat we have had (pork) is of really good quality. Our place is super cozy. Loving the relaxing pace and beautiful scenery here!
